Agreed.

A manual technically has a gentleman's sausage aswell, but an auto's only goes up and down, whereas a manual's can go up down and allllllllllllll around ;-) Oh yeeeaaaahh! 8-)

Always wondered about 4ws.
My lude is a 2.0 manual converted to a5 and 5 stud hubs so no 4ws.
Have to admit I've never driven a car with it but really want an R32 and over months of looking notice that 90% of modded skylines have hicas 4ws delete.
From what I've read it's not that rated for road driving and makes lane changing a bit iffy sometimes.
I would have thought that the hicas system would be more advanced than the prelude 4ws so is that its problem?
What are peoples thoughts comparing 2 and 4ws?

Most people who dislike it have had bad experiences with half working or broken 4WS. When working properly, it's amazing. I've never had any issues with lane changing or fast road driving - if anything the 4WS makes both better and safer, as that was one of the design goals for the system. Personally, I love it.

^^^fair..

i dont see many people looking for 4ws sub frames for their 2ws car conversion......

its cool but its not as good or race cars would use it and it would be used a hell of a lot more in sports/coupe car design. i used to love it but then i got an s. if i was still in a 4ws car i would still love it.

The HICAS system isnt the same as the Preludes. The hicas has a very limited angle change and turns in the same direction as the front for stability.
The Preludes does the same to a set angle THEN goes in the opposite direction the more lock you put on. The Mechanical 4WS is MUCH MUCH better than the later electronic models.
You actually feel connected to the front AND rear wheels and its proven 100% reliable.
