We never fitted them, but we did have some that had been fitted and had dented the boot. You just need to make sure the feet are close to the back of the boot, so the pressure isn't in the middle.
Mine is the halfords universal one. 2 straps to the top, 2 to the side, and 2 which go underneath and hook onto the chassis somewhere. Haven't had any problems with it on my other 2 cars so far.rob quilter wrote:From someone who used to run a bike shop, don't go for the ones that hang off the back and clip under the boot. I've seen lots of cars that have been dented and damaged on the boot from them, try and get a roof rack of some kind. Much safer and don't damage your car.
