I always bid with my absolute maximum bid plus 99p in the last 10 seconds. You can't loose then. Plus 99p because if you come second you always kick yourself not knowing how high the winning bidder would have gone. If it's already 99p more than you wanted to pay then be happy not winning as you money is obviously worth more.

Then I always bid with at least 10 seconds left for fair sport. Plus it gives me a rush everytime, not knowing whether I'm going to be out bid or not

EDIT: And I don't know why I'm sharing this, but why not bid +99p? It's the trump of all p's!

I always add 77p (lucky).
