do you really want to be the "mug" in the story????

if we could sell our lude's for the parts/time/effort/tlc/love and feelings they would cost a bloody fortune :P
yeah i know mate you are making total sense! i just love the bloody thing so much it would kill me to start ripping the lovely bits off

depends who you sell too, sell if pos to a member on here then you recover some money, sell else where and it may not sell at all at those prices. we all consider added parts increase the value but in reality they dont, just ask your insurance company, yes it can bump up your premium, but this is usually because it is more likely (statistically) to get stolen. insurance value for a bb4 lude is somewhere betwwen £600- £800  yeh crap enit. but then they are old cars. if you sell to an enthusiast you can get a more realistic price. i have seen bb4s like this go for as much as £1800 :o i paid £1800 for mine in 2005 with 26000 km on the clock  it was already 13 years old at that point but was in showroom condition (apart from a scab on the sunroof (no suprise there). try a no comitment auction on here and see what happends :D

I was hoping this thread was for your insurance evaluation :(

As said bud, you'll definitely get more by selling on the trick bits to the likes of us and returning the car to standard. You've still got practically all the OEM bits right? A completely standard low mileage import is quite appealing when you're in the market to buy a lude. Can go for anywhere between £1000 to £1500 for a gooden at the moment (The market is rising again). And then you've probably got a good £1000s worth of pretty bits too haven't you?

Would be a shame to sell for sure, but at least it's for a bloody good reason :D

I have 2 small kids, they fit perfect in the back. Can you fit a roof rack for the pram? Or... Get 2 ludes. His and hers. It's working for us. :)

Congrats and commiserations lol

If I were looking and had cash I would part with 1500 - 1800 depending on what other tasty ludes were on the market

Rash decision!

Think about it, if your lady is pregnant it's going to be ~8 months before the baby arrives. Do you really need to sell right now? Is the sale more for money or for having two baby seats?
