I'm sure most places quote that as a 2 - 3 day job, damn they're good! When I took my old lude for a cambelt it took 2 weeks to sort it out  (not PAW BTW)

It took Rich about 4 hours I think... Including allowing the car to cool from full temp, and removing the exhaust manifold where all the bolts and studs had sheered to. Yes, he is very fast ;)

:( I hope not! Rich has done all the strip down stuff he's just waiting on the new pump to come in so it can all go back together again. Sounds like humpty dumpty but I'm sure rich can put it back together again lol

Good to meet you yesterday Nathan and cheers for the cakes 8-)

I wouldn't normally recommend "waiting" for a cambelt and water pump job but if you are prepared to chill out for a few hours then it's your call.
As the weather begins to warm up and engines take longer to cool down to required temp for correct tension setting but it seemed to all work out ok yesterday. Probably helped by the fact that once the water pump was on I decided to add the fresh coolant to help bring the temps down more quickly.
Thanks for you patience anyway Nathan...how's the tan looking

Alex, your car is literally just waiting on the pump now, everything has been cleaned/flushed and built back up as far as I can go - hopeful of a delivery tomorrow as back order was updated last night.

If it is a nice day, take some bread with you and feed the ducks! There is a lake (Horcott pit) the other side of the trees to the car park. There is a path so you can walk round the lakes.

I presume you can still get to the lake from the car park? I used to go fishing there when i was 17/18 and used to park the car in the car park.
