I used the reinforced stuff that came with mine. It's aqua and transparent, but doesn't look out of place in my multicoloured engine bay, and I like the fact that as and when it does draw oil through it and blacken/brownen, I hopefully shouldn't see any discolouring in the second half :)

Sorry, I should clarify - mine is OEM style black hose, from a local motor factor. Was pretty cheap too as they just sell it off the roll. I just mentioned the clear stuff so you knew the sort of thing I meant, i.e. reinforced.
Mine is reinforced, just black and therefore a lot less INYOFACE! :D

Yar. I need 15mm I/D and thats not been as easy (read I havn't found it  ) to source. I have been through a couple of type so far trying to get them over the crank outlet and turbo inlet but even boiling in water wont get a 12mm I/D hose over this 15mm I/D hole. :x

I have some absolutly lovely 300psi oil pipe in blue I would love to use but I just cant get it to go over the ends... Also I am conscious of not restricting the breather as there are reports from Aus that it can damage bearings in the turbo or something. Going from a 15mmI/D to a 12mm is quite a step down.

Now that is the right stuff!! Bloody perfect.

I'll go with the stuff I have as its already bought but that page is saved for future upgrade.

Postman brought drokk all so I decided to clean the intercooler. Tomorrow will be about 12 parcels turning up and a deadline

Really not as grubby as I thought it might be so all good. Its now slowly baking over a hot radiator

Turns out the hose I have (That came with my "oil catch can") doesn't like heat too much

It hasn't closed, but the feed from the valve cover to the catch can has gone oval and has stiffened (harder to bend).

The feed from the catch can to the inlet manifold is still fine though, so I'll look to just replace the first piece.

Hmm, annoying to say the least.

After some more research I discovered any constriction in the PCV system in a big Derve is bad news for all the oil seals, big and small. With compression at maybe 24-30:1 or something stupid the extra pressure in the crank blows them out.

The outlet is 15mm. I bought a 15mm catchcan..... Turns out thats 15mm OD :x

12mm ID :x :x

So its venting to air at the moment while I get something machined up.

Bloody marvelous. I did get a partial refund from the seller though as they said it was fair enough that it didnt state it in the ad.
