Re: ITB's
sorry to rebump an old thread
i dont even havr my lude yet and im looking at mods haha
with a jap import 4th gen (h22a) what all needs done to run ITBs?
I want it more for noise than actual power gain although aiming for 240 odd when i finally get it
so far its got janspeed manifold, decat, 3 inch catback to (i believe) mugen backbox and the usual metal air filter pipe with a foam tip

Itbs are really the cherry on top of the cake. You'd normally consider these once you've got at least 280bhp bare minimum, but ideally closer to the 300bhp mark.
You can run them on anything with a proper custom map, but you could end up loosing power if the rest of the car isn't up to spec. Plus the "sound" of itbs is generally obtained due to the high revving nature of a proper built engine. At 240bhp it'll probably just be loud and you'll have lost torque compared to what you would have had with a standard inlet manifold.
At 240bhp an ATR inlet manifold is the way to go and if you've already got a genuine Mugen Twinloop you've already got one if the best sounding exhausts. I get complimented on mine all the time
