VTEC point in the new engine is 6K with redline at 8.4K. Things will change once I get a new final drivelittlefeller wrote:not a good idea, vtec crossover is 5250rpm for a reason, im not telling why this is so untill others post why they believe it is at 5250rpm. especialy that tuning guyA1ex wrote:I think m2p4 with the new engine and drop the vtec cross over a bit

Even in my stock 5th I dont drop out of VTEC http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcZ5_zvhVT8&#t=1m03s

Nope.
Terminal on the dyno when it ran with PAW back in feb was 151mph which is where peak power was in 5th.
It's not telling you how fast the car can go, it's just giving the limitations of each gear.
I'm going to look at doing some theoretical 0-60, 0-100 times etc but I want it to take into consideration gear ratios too. Finding the equations to do that could prove difficult mind.

That's where horsepower and torque curves cross due to the relationship between the two.
Not really, look at a derv. Stupidly long 5th or 6th gear and a rubbish top speed. Just because you'd hit the limiter in 5th at 160mph doesn't mean the car can get these does it?NafemanNathan wrote:Same difference surely?
