Nathan: Maybe, maybe not.

Cheers Rob, a great help.

I can't see Ratty "loving" a Mazda 6 though.

In this colour he does.

Bang on the money Phil. 8-)

The colour is Lilac Silver - by all means google it, but all the pics I've seen don't even begin to capture the colour in real life. It seemed to tick all the boxes for me, and was better on mpg, tax, etc but still a nice bit of grunt behind it.

I was surprised how much spec this model had and when you give it some gas it sound almost V6 like. Plus, searching around there are no known faults. I couldn't argue with that!

I'll update tomorrow in the profile section! Can't wait to pick it up. :scaredtoss:

One of the best pics I can find to show the colour:

That number plate doesn't help it not look like a girlie colour ;-)

Only joking bud. Looks beautiful :P So is that the shape as well then? I assumed you were gonna get an estate.

Yeah, nice plate! :P

I guess Lilac is a bit girly, but wait till you see it in the flesh, especially against a plain silver car, it just pops. I love it, and I looked at a few. That's the shape yes, they come in saloon and hatchback and look near identical. With the hatchback and fold flat seats the boot is huge, bigger than new Mondeo hatches. So no need to shift around an estate barge. There just aren't many big cars with hatch boots, so I looked to estates.

From that pic (US), mine has a different grill and nicer alloys, but that's about it. I may change the wheels in the near future. Got to see what money I have left from sorting out the small bodywork issues. I wondered if RX8 wheels would fit and look 'right'?

I couldn't get over all the little features on this top spec though - never had keyless entry with push start button. Plus little touches like ali door sill plates, but the fronts have the 'Mazda 6' writing illuminated in a cool blue colour when you open the door - very JDM if you ask me.

I looked at some Audi A4 estates and scoobies and these beat them hands down once you weigh everything up.

Well I'll be in Wales on the M4, so I guess a free lift anywhere between Bridgend and the Severn crossing is yours if you want it.
