The plus points of his knowledge just don't out weigh his negative points. His knowledge is pretty good but that knowledge is here on the forum just in many different people. FFS dont let him anywhere near this forum again. In the end I couldn't go to Japfest at Knockhill but I'd already made up my mind not to go when I seen his name down to go. It would be a poor show to ban someone for being a disruptive etc then say fine come back 3 months later. SH_Driver set the bar, if Newkids back the bar's in the stratosphere.

Ive met newkid twice first time was when he took a 3 1/2 hour drive to buy my rota wheels which are on his car now and second meeting was at japfest knockhill he seemed like a nice bloke when i spoke with him but must admit i did read some of his comments before he was banned but saying that i would give him a probation period and if same thing happens by all means ban him for life but personally ive not had any bad dealings with him

I think it helps when you have met the guy as I did at Japfest, seemed to be a decent bloke and was up for giving advice to a newbie such as myself. I also think that we all love to noise up each other and can defo read people the wrong way and once you have its a long way back. To that end much as agree his actions were poor I reckon he should get his one last shot that way we can never be accused of not being fair. I vote yes

he has decent prelude knowledge I thought too,

lets remember this is the net, he was frustrated, some sellers on here are not the greatest I know first hand. (Communication etc..)

if your angry feel helpless your gonna lash out, not really much us mods can do..

not meaning rob or anyone in particular though, I don't think he expected the problem that can crop up with custom work.

repeated trouble would not be welcome, maybe he should refrain from buying on the forum or ban on him purchasing.

TBH, I think if there's going to be an issue, it will come whatever, be it ban on this, ban on that.
What this really boils down to is how much slack you cut someone, taking their circumstances into account. Without wanting to say too much, maybe that is what has happened in Newkids case and maybe that's why some feel like giving him one last bite of the LG cherry

Commendable that any feel like that IMO.
I personally had only good dealings with him, BUT I did see the shitstorms on here too.
If he does come back on, I think you will have a few members that are just waiting for him to trip up and that could cause it's own issues (as in LOOK! - See what he did?!! BAN HIM!

) but he would probably be on such a tight leash, that any issues wouldn't be issues for long...

I will say one thing. It does speak volumes about the spirit of this club/forum in general that currently the YES vote has it...

Im surprised you feel that strongly about someone youve never met and i wasnt aware that you didnt come to Knockhill as a result - thats a shame as i dont think ive met you or seen your lude and you missed a great day out
If newkid does come back and your not wanting to see anything he posts up then you can use you friends or foe button in your profile to block him out. Ive never used that function but i guess thats what its there for.
Mind u i also didnt have much of an issue with shdriver i just didnt read his posts too much but i know he drove some of you mental

I did read through the last storm that involved him and hey, I don't know him, nor had any dealing's with him. So another chance, but any other s**t then ban for life. Every one deserves another chance. Lets see if he can behave!!

ive been putting this off since this thread started

ted and nafe, you both know i have an awful lot of time for you and i know you've both had run ins with newkid which really gets at me, not to mention publicly slating peoples businesses which is just a massive no no in my eyes.

having said that i personally have had nothing but fantastic dealings with him, he spent ALOT of time tracking me down my first h22a7 engine from another forum and did EVERYTHING for me, all i had to do was send the money via paypal, he literally set up the whole purchase for me, tracked it, nudged the seller for tracking info and kept me updated on behalf of the seller. along with going well out of his way to make sure my mugen skirts got to the courier depot the day they were due for collection as the collection driver had tried to mess him around by leaving a note but not knocking!

like i said, im absolutely not taking sides here and while i do have alot of resentfulness in me because he's done bad by a few of my what id like to class as real friends, on the other hand i would hate for him to read this thread and not see me give my honest point of view, so with that said ive voted that yes he should be allowed back, i do also agree that his dealings with people should be with the same respect that everyone else gives each other and any swaying from that should result in a permininant kick up the ass

The way I see it, this isn't going to end up with a unanimous decision. I have no doubt whatsoever that Newkid has been keeping a watchful eye over this thread (Hi Newkid

) and knows without a doubt where he stands. If anything is going to get his back up it would have been reading this thread without being able to retaliate. So why not let him come back now if he chooses to, because if he comes back now and handles himself, then he's definitely learnt a lesson. His outbursts are obvious, so he'll know that if it happens again... he's out for good...
