Chrome number plate surround.

Banter goes here, and doesn't have to be Lude related

Chrome number plate surround.

Post by andypont » Sun Mar 16, 2014 10:22 pm

I don't like a naked plate fixed to the front bumper, and am not a fan of the tilting brackets, and so have bought a cheap chrome effect surround, with the Honda logo, off ebay.
Still undecided if I like it though, or if its a bit chavvy looking. Thoughts anyone?

It has to be better than this though..... Doesn't it?

I don't think there's any way to make a plate look sleek, so less ugly will be a start.

Not a fan. I prefer a JDM sized plate stuck directly on the bumper.

I had something similar on my lude when I first got it. I think I binned them, not sure. If you're after a rear I'll have a look for it next time I go to my old man's and it's yours for postage. Whoever put them on used every fixing hole possible on the front. When I remove my front plate I have around a dozen holes in my bumper.

I'm not keen on the jdm plates, as I think they look clumsy with so much of the plate hanging below the front face of the bumper.
I do have a lip to go on, but it needs a spray first as its a different colour.

Does look much better than the stock plate holder, though I'll be jumping on the JDM bandwagon too 8-)

Thanks.
If I decide to keep it then I might take you up on that. Mine are on 4 screws and I thought that was plenty! :o

looks better then OEM one, because it's smaller. I would try to change it's colour. Maybe white - same as number plate, then it will disapear.

Best option - put your number plate behind the windscreen. Then weld holes, and respray your bumper.
