after much tooing and froing i managed to get a set of engine mounts to nathan.

he filled them with lovely purple poly and sent them back.

i then gave them a bit of a spruce :)

now im just waiting to take them, and the car, to PAW at start april.

@BB4: iv no idea. i have no plans on finding out either :D

it looks and feels like a heavy annoying job so ill happily pay for it to be done.

i spend too much time getting paid to move heavy speakers so its nice to pass it along sometimes.

i reckon with the right tools and the knowhow it would not take long at all but i have neither. ill happily admit to having grand ideas and doing my best but also knowing when to pass it on if i want a good job done.

the fouth mount cant be filled because its fluid filled? im not sure. reacts with the stuff.

So whats the deal here? PAW take an OEM mount and poly fill it because there aren't any off the shelf bushes to fit?

not to bad tbh, a bit fiddly for the back one and does take some grunting to get the engine where you want it but all round not a bad little job.

i found sticking a jack under the sump  to take most of the weight was the easiest way to do it and just swap them over one by one

@gayno: no. nathan at i-tuned cuts out 95% of the oem rubber that has got old and saggy and replaces it with much harder polyurethaine *spelling?

this is much harder than the rubber was when new so the connection between the car and the engine is a lot firmer.

this has a few effects. the main one im after is when you plant your foot and the engine leaps forward the car is not trying to catch up  so leaps forwartd that bit harder.

you get more cabin vibration, you can launch better, you get less engine wobble on gear changes (though im sure you get punished for shoddy shifts) and you get less wheel hop at santa pod

basically makes engine and car more connected so more responsive.

just a little bit but that all you need.

One question... Is the one on the right supposed to have a non-round hole in it? Or is it an illusion?
