Arse ball monkey turd

Post by RattyMcClelland » Wed Jan 14, 2015 10:44 am

7.30am travelling to Nottingham and a all the traffic in front suddenly stops.

Me not paying any attemtion failed to stop.

Hit the towbar of the car in front......and i

broke my
- front splitter on the van £500
- Broke the bumper around the grill beyond repair. £300
- Radiator pushed back and broke £300
- Intercooler pierced and pushed back £200
- Support brackets and impact bar damaged but we will pull those back out.

Cant drive the van anywhere because the coolant drops with a few minutes. Not sure i have breakdown cover. Booked in to the garage 35miles away. 2 days loss of business.

Almost zero damage to the old toyota avensis in front. Guy was cool about it and i gave him my details of course.

All in all a great start to the day.

Was just thinking how good your van looks too.

Yer its not the damage im bothered about. Its the cost incurred from such a small incident.

No breakdown cover but im i rang a recovery service and its £95 pick up tomorrow morning to transport it 35miles where its booked in tomorrow. Which ill deal with.

Anyway....im not going to stress over it. Ill just have to drive around with a damaged front bumper until i sort it.

Ill get a picture....

:o best reason to have a tow bar imho. I'v done it myself mate. Thought the car had gone from the junction but he had stopped just after to let someone else through. Towbar crunch and no damage to him whatsoever. Just a very sad mondeo

Hey, atleast it wasn't the lude and atleast its only money and not blood and guts spread out for all to see on the notts bypass.

Surely its a chance to show off your repair skillzzzzz?

You take more pics of it broken then pics all the way through the repair and the final paint.

Do a good job and you can show customers the album :D

You'll have to actually repair the bits rather than just buy new bits though
