Time to service the brakes after 5 years sat up in the hopes i dont need to replace the rears or the ATR fronts.

Silicone grease at the ready, wish me luck guys. This could get messy.

At least it was 5 years in the garage not the rain!

Good luck, I find the fronts easy and the rears a bit more annoying, it's not a 90s Honda if the rear calipers haven't seized up at least once!

Yeah, hoping not too much needs doing. Knock sensor code on cel and both abs and atts warning lights are on but im pretty sure this is just a reset.. coiple of minor things but brakes are the biggie. Yes, it looks like both rears are a bit..... stiff....

Yes ratty it was 2012 last time i drove it....

So one rear was fine. The recon i bought the year i built the car was knackered. Luckily i had a new piston and a bigred seal kit handy..... question is how in hells teeth do you get the dust seal to sit right on both the piston AND the caliper?

If i put the seal on the piston and wind it in it wont get into the caliper groove, if i place it into the groove i cant then get the piston to hit the screw or get it into the fluid seal due to the dust seal getting in the way. I cant seem to get the dust seal over the piston while its placed in the caliper is the problem. Its like i need three extra hands with tiny tiny fingers......

Any help as always much appreciated. I have given up as i am hungry and have backache. Ill get to it again tomorrow.
