5 pumps (ie fire engines), one aerial (ie ladder engine) two support units and and a couple of other fire trucks.

There were at least 8 fire engines at one point. My mate is a fireman and was operating the support unit, so i took out the coffee and pens (yes, they had no pens). Firemen don't carry hoses these days, they carry clipboards.

It is a derelict house, i know the owner. It was condemned because he couldn't afford to keep it safe. Totally gutted now though, flames were above the roof at one point!

Mine was safely tucked up in the garage and i'm a couple of streets away up-wind, so all was good there.

There was a fire there a couple of years back too, but not as bad as this one. Rumours as to the reasons for the fire were soon spreading around the neighbourhood gossip tree, but i'm not a gossip man myself :mrgreen:
