Accord Coupe 3.0 V6
96-01 I believe, anyone driven or owned one? Thinking of picking one up if there's one close. Plenty grunt and lots of toys.

I thought about getting one before I ended up buying a Prelude, a lot of bang for your bucks and a 3 litre V6 VTEC to boot. Can't imagine they're very fuel efficient though, and they're all autos iirc. Might be worth trying some of the Accord forums if you want to see how they are to live with, I'm on Type Accord and I know acouple of the fellas over there are V6 coupe owners. One other thing to bear in mind is difficulty sourcing parts - the coupes were built by Honda of America, not at the Swindon plant. Seeing as coupe sales were poor here, it's difficult to find decent used spares, and most parts from the 6th Gen UK Accord saloon/hatch aren't interchangeable due to the different production lines using different parts bins.

Not sure if this is specific to the models available over here but...
"The 6-cylinder was the same J-series V6 as the sixth generation's, but revisions to the intake and exhaust contributed to a 40 hp increase, bringing the total power to 240 hp. One of these revisions was that the exhaust manifolds became part of the cylinder head casting."

Oh no, that must just be the USDM...

I wanted on of these when i took my Accord in for a service at Morning Star Honda in Chippenham way back in 1998. They had a new Pirates Black one and it looked awesome. The leather interior models are nice, it is a bit "cosy" inside, like the Prelude.
They aren't that quick though for a 3.0v6 and the handling is a bit wallowy from what i understand.
As mentioned, parts can very pricey and they are getting old now, so things will go wrong.
