How did you spend the first weekend of summer?

Banter goes here, and doesn't have to be Lude related

How did you spend the first weekend of summer?

I took the opportunity to polish my daily driver, Mazda 6.

Worst scratch was on drivers door, about 10 inches long:

and gone:

Also polished the rear lenses, which removed most of the scratches:

And finally a shot of both the cars in their spotless glory!

A great way to spend a sunny Sunday!

I have a Kestrel DAS-6 Pro machine polisher, and use 3M pads and polish. Started on Friday night and did a couple hours, then finished the rest of the car today, probably spent around 8 hours total to polish and wax, but it is an estate so has extra paint!!

I also took advice of LLL and applied the wax by hand........and it was good!! really good application, although the neighbours must've thought I'd reached a new level of love for my cars!!

Our first weekend of summer was spent buying a Ninja 600.

I had a BBQ on Saturday. Had the hottest chicken and spent the whole Sunday in the toilet.

Spent my Saturday taking the puppy to the park to meet some other dogs. Was the first time he ever rode in the Prelude 8-) It would seem I have finally found a use for those tiny back seats, until he bundled through the middle of the front seats so he could sit up front  then Sunday was spent moving my fish tank to the new house, absolute nightmare as the thing is five feet long, weighs a ton and has 100-200 fish in it. Started at about 9am and was done by about 10pm  I have all week off work though so at least I can enjoy the sun now :D
