I don't know... I recon if they worked a bit of dubstep in there it could work quite well ;-)

Used to have WOTW as our telephone hold music, back in the day when I worked in the the bike shop. Customers after being put on hold would then ask to be put back on hold again once we'd finished our conversion  They'd then hang up in there own time... Which for some, was after a good track or two long!

Have always loved Jeff Wayne's musical version. Not sure on what I'll think of the new remake, but I'll give anything a shot.

I will always think that the 50's version of the film will be the best film version though.

As for the dubstep version, I've had this saved in my YouTube favourites for a while now, but had actually forgotten till you said that Nathan. It's not a remix, but the original narration with dubstep music done to match the story. Not as good as the proper Jeff Wayne version, but not bad either.

One too many wasted sunsets...or sunrises.

I always seemed to be the last one still awake at parties, listening to that album.

It ain't broke; don't fix it.

I flicked through that dubstep version Dom. I couldn't stand to leave it long enough to work out which part of the story I was at each time :|

The War of the Worlds...2?

Post by M@dds » Sat Nov 24, 2012 9:16 pm

Funnily enough I found the original radio broadcast in 1938 that caused mass panic this morning and I was actually listening to the jeff Wayne version as I hasent heard it since my dad last played in the 90's at some point, I also read a short read up of "war of the worlds 2"
Earlier its a £500,000 film so a reasonably low budget film wasent it released in 2008? Or did I read that wrong? Something to do with humans taking the battle to where they came from ie mars
