as titled, or if anyone can point out a reasonably priced set of 8xintake and 8xexhaust valves brand new from somewhere apart from importing them from the US

Are the likes of standard Supertechs too expensive?

yeh, he's a proper cheapskate, even more than me :oops:

we're trying to clean the valves by putting them in a drill and pushing them into a scotchbrite pad - pretty effective but these have very hardened on crap. im going to try and use some paint stripper on them a few times, see if that has any affect.

I just wanted an alternative in case their still not great as an end result.

yep, that seemed a bit more effective than the scotchbrite pad and so he took some home with him to continue with that instead - its probably a case of keep drilling until your all the way there ;)

cleaning a valve is a bit like making love to a beautiful woman...

I stook mine in a drill and carefully used a stanley blade to 'lathe' all the hardened crap off, then went over them with some fine paper, they came up like new.
