imo the piping looks Clubbing Eddy on those cheap ones. all those connections and gash? thats gonna look Clubbing Eddy and sound bum droppings. imho. A straight pipe and a good filter will see you right. Think to spend £80 or just leave it as it is because i guarentee you will only end up chucking that rubbish bits'a'apipe for something better and spend the money twice.

I have a good condition cone filter for sale, if you want it. No pipework though.

cheers for the advice. I've bought the pipes this morning before reading this though :( Il put some heat wrap round it if i like it, i need to play around with fitting, so when i find the right shape that fits well i might get a pipe made. I've bought an apexi air filter so thats something good that ive got  should all be be here by next week so will fit it, take some pics and go from there lol

I wouldn't worry about what LLL said... Not that it's not valuable information, but as you're very limited in choice for your car (I don't know if there are any induction kits specifically for 2nd or 3rd gens :? ) you're not really left with any other option but to go custom, and unless you end up getting a carbon fibre custom job made up costing in excess of a lot of money, it leaves you with aluminium piping! I was lucky that my 3rd gen came with a one-piece one, but other than buying an ebay two-piece piped induction kit for £40, which looks like it incorporates the piece I have I don't know where you get them from. The only other issue is heat-soak, but the only induction kits that don't suffer from this are in excess of £150, so that just leave you with heat-wrapping it like you said. Think you've made the right choice ;-)

cheers, whats heat-soak lol? never heard of it
Yeah ive been trying to find one for ages, asked people from america and they said they went custom, or left it standard so yeah didnt have much choice haha. If i sort the rest of the car out and i have a bit of spare money il get one made in carbon :P would look amazing lol. but this will have to do for now :)

Cheers
