I had the same concerns about OBX twin loop but i listened to people that actually had one in their hands
and could look at the welds etc - word was it was good quality considering the price - they were right :)

mine is coupled to a hytec rep headed (PLM) and 2.5" custom straight thru system
reason i bought it was to make the whole system a bit quieter which it has done - its still loud enough to set off a few car alarms and its got a definate raspy note to it.

I like the OBX twin loop and would recommend it :)

These pics don't do it justice as the welds are great, but it gives you an idea...

You should note, the inlet to the exhaust is actually 3" diameter, but it tapers down to 2.5" diameter just before it enters the can. You can see the taper in those pics. This means you can run a 3" exhaust if you wanted to, but other you can have your exhaust guy trim the majority of the 3" back and pop in a 2.5" pipe to weld.

The actual "loop" of the exhaust is at 2.5" aswell, so running a 3" exhaust would be wasted anyway.

@Vanzep have you got any pics of your join? I forgot to ask at the time.

Hhere are a few pics of it fitted :)

looks like they cut it back to where it narrowed down to 2.5 inch and then welded it - cost me £140 to have it fitted which included new pipe and flange and gaskets and they fitted a new donut gasket to the downpipe/centre section
