Personally I thought nothing was wrong with it before! One good thing is if you're browsing a thread with lots of pictures (for example the Japfest picture thread) you can just enlarge the first one, then browse through the whole page by clicking next.

One more option I wanted to add is to keep the frame at the same size and at max height of the users window. Things go a bit funny if the picture swaps between portrait and landscape.
