Pretty easy to wire in with already having the door courtesy lights as there running of them so only work when the doors are open ;)
I saw a Ford once with the same thing, obviously ford though. Always thought these were pretty cool. 8-)

Coilover refurb

Post by newkid » Wed Jul 08, 2015 5:50 pm

Decided the bc's were to good a opportunity to turn down so got to work on getting them back to standard, the coilovers themselves are in excellent condition but the springs were not so good, rusty like the car they came off . One of the fronts had snapped so got onto bc for replacement springs and replaced both fronts, might do the same with the rears as the springs are just as rusty on them.

Anyway here is a pic of the fronts redone and the old springs next to them.

Hopefully get them on the car soon once I decide what to do about rears and then get the tein/koni setup sold on.

Thought that was projected onto the carpet at first which would be pretty cool, but nice trick touch nonetheless :)

Good work with the coilovers as well ;)

You can order custom spring rates for bc coils too. Can go up to 13kg all around iirc.

There's a huge choice now, I just stuck with the standard 10kg on the front as its mainly a road car so need some comfort

Don't like sound of that but they are cheap @ £29.99 per corner

Think they said rear standard is 5, will the 7 make a difference?

6 is standard.

Stiffer springs don't always mean a stiffer ride. But it's not uncomfortable. I wanted a more neutral handling. Might try a 9kg rear soon. See how it goes.

Rear springs are the same as mr2 rear springs on bc coilovers.
