Re: BsBB1
I wouldn't - the lude will just run around in circles at full chat for an hour going BWAA BWAAA BWAAAAAA, then come to a crashing halt, spray its windscreen washers for attention, and demand a story.nucleustylzlude wrote:bennyboy wrote: Did the engine respond well to the Robinsons, I'm gonna try double concentrate next change!![]()

Re: BsBB1
Good to hear gents.
I have tried a lot of tyres on the lude over years, but these are a new one to me.
They won't be going on just yet though.... or rather they wont be going on alone.

Re: BsBB1
So since the lovely new rubber arrived, I thought it was a good opportunity to get the wheels refurbed.
the usual kerbing here and there
but also a little bit of flaking etc.

So all loaded up in the Mrs' CR-V:

Dropped them off Wednesday, was told they may be ready for Saturday, but if not Monday.
Got a call Friday to say all done.
So headed down there first thing to collect. Much better
:

And back on the car (Sorry, the usual bloody outside-garage shot)

Got to say, I like the way the slightly larger profile fills the arches that bit more and the ride quality is much better.
OK, so technically the car is a fraction higher (no bad thing with the speed humps round here) and the speedo was supposedly going to read a little low - well I just tried it against sat nav and its basically spot on up to around 40, then still slightly over reads a fraction at motorway speeds. Safe than sorry and all that.
So this means I have these to get rid of:

Re: BsBB1
This place, used them before about 5 years ago and was impressed with the quality and price.
http://www.wheelrefurbishing.co.uk/
This time round, for wheels, plus removal of tyres and fitting of nnew ones, £192 inc vat, which I think is very reasonable.
There is a place literally over the road from me that does them inside a day, you drop the car off in the morning and collect in the evening, but it would have been £360. That would have been convenient, but I couldn't justify the extra.
