:lol: Stop editting your posts! :lol:

Not allow you to start the car again once turned off. You're getting at it won't turn the car off whilst it's running, but it depends on what Drax wants it to do I guess.

lol!! im confused, but basically its one of these;

simply for safety, the battery is in the boot so I thought it sensible to have one as if im working under the bonnet I can use this instead of disconnecting the battery every time, plus if I have an accident/fire I can cut the power to the engine whilst running or not.

*btw I realise its not good practise to disconnect the battery whilst the engine is running dont worry ;) I have a plan for this soon

I think Merlin was getting at the fact that your engine will still be running off the alternator if you cut the battery if you have an accident. Whereas if you have an accident and cut the ignition the engine will die.

You could install both ;-)

that's the plan when the engine comes out, to properly set that up along with installing the oil dials and possibly an engine fire extinguisher :)

heads now sprayed up
Image

Image

plus I made time to put on the ARP head studs and new gasket
Image

head should go on tonight. found time on Tuesday while I was off to finally swap the UKDM rear bumper for a JDM one I had. couldn't really find a guide for this, only pointer on where it bolts on so;
5x plastic poppers off from the back
Image

4x are under the rear lights, 2x each side so rear lights off via the 4x nuts holding them on
Image

there they are underneath
Image

lights off, found a spider hiding instantly :roll:
Image

crap picture but there is a screw/bolt (sometimes very rusted!) holding the bumper on at the end either side on the arch
Image

and these side clips just pull off when you give the bumper a tug
Image

and off. bit dirty as to be expected. Note, you may have two plastic poppers holding the bumper on as well located on the metal arms you can see either side at the bottom
Image

I cleaned some side shizzle while I was there, offside;
Image

nearside
Image

looking at it closer now the bumper is off, my arches will defo need doing this year :?
Image

eek! :shock:
Image

replacement bumper cleaned and ready
Image

then reverse the process to put the new one on and boom!
Image

Image

8-)

If you wire it correctly it will cut the engine. First item tested when you pull up for scrutineering on a rally is this. You drive in and the scrutineer pulls the cable that goes to the cut off switch. If the engine doesn't Cut go fix it or go home.
