Re: Supercharged Mugen Lude (13/01/14 Update!)
Indeed it is!
I had bought odds and ends for a spare engine build one day, including the Wiseco pistons just because they came up at the right time for a good price.
The block came along from an old Honda Revolution Veteran, forum name was Gixer. He's been throwing in H22's into Civics for the past few years and had this Benson block amongst a whole host of juicy parts. PM me if you want his list of current parts as he's about to stick things individually on ebay.
I got the block, eagle rods + ARP bolts (plus spare Type S pistons, ARP head stud kit, KS Tuned tensioner. All for a package deal. So it puts me in good stead to get going on something big next year.

Yes it is? So you spotted his little ebay ad too then?
You in negotiations at all? Really nice guy, very into his H22's, big Prelude fan at heart.

BUILD PART 5) – Build (Cont’d) – Reality Check
PROFILE UPDATE: REALITY CHECK!
Well, I've been doing a few things the last few weeks so need to update on progress. But I've spent quite a few hours this week after work cleaning up the engine bay and, well...just not getting a great result. Its certainly an improvement, but not the finished article I'd expect from myself. So time to re-assess things because...
We have another baby on the way!
The wife is 15 weeks so far and we've told all family and friends, which extends to the great community here. We're overjoyed to say the least and (before anyone asks or does the usual jokes) yes, it was planned.
So all good there, except for us getting through another pregnancy with all our worries from losing our boy, Caleb. Gonna be a tough one, mentally more than anything else.
So…
This leads me back to my little metal pride and joy that has felt a little neglected for a while. Come the end of September our hands will be even fuller and finding time to work on the lude will no doubt freeze up again. So I have one focus now - get the car running and on the road before the baby is here. Forget making everything look pretty and nice. As much as it pains me, I just need it drivable so I can fall back in love with it. As some with long term projects know, they can drift away a bit.
So there it is, get all my bits fitted and running ASAP. My on going tarting bits up and other little jobs will just have to wait for another day - most likely when I use my newly acquired sleeved block.
I expect most of you will roll your eyes and think yeah, yeah, blah, blah, heard it all before. And yes, I tell myself the same thing. But in my head every part of the car has to be a certain way and finish and I’m now going to have to compromise on some of this grand vision. For me, that’s my reality check, and that fact I have another little one on the way!

Cheers,
Rob

Congrats to both of you man! You must be well chuffed

Congrats bud
So happy for you both! Our number 2 is due in 5 weeks, so I'm hoping my lude should be on the road within 4!
... The 5th gen that is
I feel your pain with having to make sacrifices, I just can't do that myself, hence why yours will be on the road so much sooner than my 4th gen
Good on you!
