PS removed. :( (Its so hard to turn the car)
Dude, I'd say I'm twice your height... More leverage bud ;-)

I got bigger plans with the smooth and shave, but it will require another shell... And the garage I don't yet have ;-) Just preparing everything for the transplant first :)

Is that a carbon fibre bonnet, if so or not how did you mount the dampers to it, and what length are they? I want to do the same :D

What did you use to hold the battery in place?

Cheers

Cheers Jezer.

It's not a CF bonnet yet no, just a phantom grey one. As I've relocated and gone for a half rad I was able to bore out the outer most rad bracket holes to locate the pins...

Image

Image

They're quite long (10cm or so) so I will be cutting them down. But also, due to the angle of the bonnet and the tight hole they have to poke through  , the pins actually have to be a tad loose to allow an amount of play. So I have a set of nylocs to use once I've cut them down to length.

I bought a battery box that I mounted in the boot...

Image

Now I've stripped the boot lining out and don't intend to put it back, I may now mount it in the spare wheel spot. And actually spray it up this time to

What about the mounting place for the bonnet dampers? :D As i have a CF bonnet was maybe thinking of somehow attaching them to the bonnet hinges... Any close up pics where you mounted the other end to what looks like the middle bolts on the front wing?

Cheers

Sorry Jezer, didn't really read your question properly did I?

I haven't got a great picture of the dampers at the moment, but this picture should show you the rough geometry...

Image

One ball joint replaces the centre most wing screw and the other is a bracket that is held in place with the top (when the bonnet's up) bonnet hinge bolt.

I only actually required one fixing down bolt to hold the battery box in place, as it fit so snug where it is. I did pack it up under the rearest edge though.

Image

I went up through the largest bore hole here in the chassis rail, which has a plastic bung in it normally...

Image

Which came out here...

Boy, this has taken me back!
