Yes! That's probably the one. There is a plastic canister down there somewhere that cracks/breaks in a front end impact preventing the cruise from continuing to work. I damaged it on my 3G and couldn't find a new one for love nor money.

Yep & yep! cheers Nath, checked last nights and its the Cruise Control Vacuum Reservoir, so ill remove that too.

managed to get a chance and remove the old clutch line gubbins off the gearbox and engine bay, then plumb in the new braided clutch line

Nice job :)

Make sure you don't run the clutch line too close to the engine block. Mine's secured just above the gearbox, but I still managed to boil my clutch fluid the other day when my engine ran too hot. Bled it through and it's ok again now, but not something you want to happen when you're out enjoying yourself on track ;)

I route my one so it cable ties to the bottom of my intake tubing.

so, was admiring my nice block the other evening - something caught my eye like it was wrong... looked around and saw this gaping hole like @damon's arse...
Image

thought......"urrrggghhh  " the below cover supposed to be there...
Image

:troll:

i was thinking that i'd have to remove all crank pulley, covers, cambelt, cam gears, just to get it back on :?
but after an hours struggling after just removing the crank pulley, covers and p/s steering unit, (and loosening the cam gears to a butt-clenching distance away from the head :scaredtoss: ) i managed to squeeeeeese the cover on.
phew.
no picture taken yet as i was too buggered like @damon is every night by many many men. manly men. men in tights. tight tights.
