There's actually already a "how to" in the FAQ courtesy of Daiz  I didn't want to submit it there tho as I felt I'd be underminding him

I did however take some detailed pics and give a write up as I went about threading the cable and connecting it a slightly different way

Maybe I'll do a complete write up, once I've tidied up the oem terminal ends :)

Thought about the battery relocation a few times now and seeing it done is tempting me more now. Does free up so much more room doesn't it. Looks alot less cluttered. Plus your missing the cruise control unit. PAS pump off and ABS removed, wire tuck and your laughing! Oooor maybe not.

Well impressed what you've done with my old bumper. =D> Looks a ton better now. Glad someone has made good use of it otherwise it may have joined the general waste pile at the local tip. Good work bud.

Which lip did you have already then? Did you stick with the UKDM one off my ole bumper? If you still have the spare to grab off you one day, you'd make another fellow luder very happy indeed. Let me know.

Yep! Less is more in my opinion 8) I went for the light weight spec to start with so there was less to strip out... no sunroof either

The whole battery relocation from when I disconnected the battery right at the start to when I connected her back up again literally took me 7 hours. And that's including 2 meals, making up that cool cable connector  a bit of faffing and deciding on routing the cable. I'd say if I got to do it again without stopping I could probably manage it in 3 hours easy. I'd say for you being pretty hands on and if you happened to follow my instructions  it would take you no time at all :)

Oh and I'm definately gonna keep your UKDM lip 8)

I've got some black backed jdm headlights on their way (should have been posted today) 8) And with my free weekend next weekend, I should get chance to swap my whole front end over :D

Do you recon you'll make it to this SouthWest meet DJBlobby's organising? Cos I'll hopefully be tagging along with that if that's convenient for you :)

nucleustylz lude wrote:Blimey, takes longer than I would have imagined then. But jobs you tackle the first time always take longer. I remember the day I got my lude and I wanted to change the blown speakers behind the doorcards, I didn't have these forums nor the elusive manuals. I was scratching my head for quite a while. It's all in the planning stages!

Thought the UK lip would win hands down. So do you actually have a spare old one off your JDM bumper? :D

Well if you get it on next weekend, I will expect more pictures! :D

Unaware of this meet DJBlobby has posted will go check the meets section and let you know.

I'm quite good at standing around admiring and drinking tea mind   It's finding out things you didn't know that makes it take longer... Or should I say not knowing them like you said. It was attempting to thread the cable that took the longest time I'd say. It got quite fiddly at times with the carpet and all, and I had to discover where to thread it as well. I'm not very familiar with the interior and what detaches it seems

Have you maybe considered placing the battery in the tyre well or centrally located an mounted in front of the boot catch?

Better weight distribution on the car.

Good job with the bumper, loving the black sticker badge 8)

Got a picture of the car now that its sat on the coilovers?
