Do you really, honestly think Vlad's motor looks better with those things stuck on it? :o

Sorry lads I have to agree, I tried a set of something similar on the pickup prior to painting it and decided they looked like they should be on a supra. (That's what they were off actually) a bit wider than these but a better fit but just as ill suited. Look like you got something to hide, like rotten arches.

If this is done right, like I'm planning to do and I'm sure Vlad is to, then it's not going to look like you're simply just hiding rotten arches  I do agree that's Vlad's car as it is is too clean and doesn't look right with black arches, but he's already expressed that he knows what else is required to pull it off. It's all about your imagination and thinking outside the box at the end of the day. Not saying you guys that don't like the idea don't have any imagination before you say anything  Especially you Ted ;-)

I'm confident that mine will look the dogs when done. It's not like the rest of my car is OEM. I'm running a much deeper front lip, sides and rear spats and/or rear diffuser, so to me wider arches are almost the obvious next step, especially as I want to widen my broken suspension look.

You can't deny this doesn't look the tits! But look how over exaggerated those arches are!...

Image

That's very similar to the impact I want to achieve, mine just doesn't need to be quite so drift orientated ;-)

i agree that the correct arch will look the dogs and i like the car above and i'm still looking for a suited set myself . i love these below but they are too big, i think the shape is spot on to blend with a 4th's front wings if they were cut down but not the rear so im still looking for the right ones, maybe cut down escort front for the front and rear of a 4th

Image

with the top of the wide arch sunk in to the wing it would be about level with the bonnet rather than just sticking out off the car. its hard to explain what i mean really we're back to that imagination and as you know i have a good 1 of them

See I never like arches like that. They're just too "bubbley" in my eyes. I know the 4th gen is curvacious, but it's not bubbley and it does have edges... Namely on the existing wheel arches. The Bunny Rocket style ones would work really well as they have flat faces on the edge. I did think about using an SX Bunny Rocket kit, but with the price of them (and not many second hand kit coming about and even them being crazy money), it's not really something I can just buy and try :(

I agree that you may be able to pull it off Nafe as your car is a bit 'Frankenstein' anyway. No offence.

Vlad's car is so clean and beautiful in its natural state, it would be sacrilege to ruin it like this.
He may as well go the whole hog and stick those eBay batmobile bumpers on it with a huge gay spoiler. :x

As long as there's one pristine Sebring Silver Standard OEM 4th gen Prelude in existance, that's all that matters Pushki ;-)

And no offence taken :D

if your gonna go wide do it properly and have the whole body widened with metal get the lines of the car exagerated with metal.
i have often thought about those arches but never thought they would look good on the lude this confirms it for me i am afraid

Don't worry Pushki, i am planning of going much deeper with what i am planning... fender flares are just the beginning. Next step are wheels wide enough to fill these arches, with slick tyres, then - lightened fibreglass/CF hood, trunk, then front air splitter under front bumper, rear air diffuser, canards, rollcage in the car, and... especially for you, an addition - huuuge typical time attack wing to make this all a perfect batmobile car !

and after all these mods car should go in a direction similar to this on these photos below :)

we call it Time Attack style, i understand it's hard to understad it, you either love it or hate it... me and Nathan are rather the ones who love it :)
