Hey prelude 91 - drop me a PM before you leave and let's see if we can hook up. I do tend to travel a fair bit but you never know your luck! Thanks and regards, Simon.

Lude Generation Profile – WSX 3989 “The Blue Beauty”

To bring my profile up to date I’d like to share progress so far with my Prelude.

These are the things I’ve had done or fitted since I bought it back in March 2013.

4 Bridgestone MY-02 195/60R15
Original Sawtooth wheels refurbished, cleaned and lacquered.
4 Gabriel shock absorbers (still to resolve the shock-knock)
Rocker cover painted
New NGK spark plugs
New Fuel filter
3 Engine mounts (poor quality – this is to be rectified asap)
New spark plug leads
New distributor
Front seats reupholstered
New Momo Champion steering wheel
New exhaust back box
Gearbox flushing and oil change
Engine oil changes (Motul H-Tech SW40)
New Philips headlight bulbs (High beam, dip and sidelights)
New fan belts
Polished and laminated headlights

And here’s some of the more in-depth stuff that was needed to sort out the troublesome hunting idle, which it did very successfully.

H22A Knock sensor
Vehicle speed sensor
Thermostat housing
Oil filter housing and cooler
Complete disassembly/flushing and refilling of the cooling system
Various cooling system pipes replaced
Various O rings and seals for above
Refill of cooling system with Honda (non-counterfeit) engine coolant

That’s me up to date so far. Next on the agenda is the extremely annoying shock knock, new aircon compressor, new radio ariel, tidying up the dashboard (speedo needle not lit, can’t get the hours on the clock to move!), new front spotlights, new bushing all round, new headlights and of course the sourcing and fitting of four new, high quality engine mounts.

First on this agenda when I'm back from Blighty are new Bendix ( genuine, non counterfeit ) pads and braided brake hoses on all four corners.

I’ll update this profile when I get to work with my trusted spanner-man to give a further update on work-in-progress.

Regards

Simon.

Thank you sir and apologies for lack of pictures. I'm getting ready for a trip back to England tomorrow so I'm running round like the proverbial blue-arsed-fly today. After the trip I will definitely get some nice ones put up.

You know what? I can finish a few little errands later. As I'm sadly leaving my delightful Blue Beauty for a few days and because I worked my what-nots off this morning fettling her, I thought I'd indulge myself with a few piccys. My God, Meguiar's should be paying me to use their products! I'm taking them now because in about an hour we'll be subject to the obligatory afternoon thunderstorm and biblical downpour. I hope you enjoy the photos Gentlemen.
Regards
Simon.

Nice profile shot I think

Just plain sexy!

Looks so damn aggressive doesn't it? I'd get out of the way if I saw this in my mirror!

Yes, that's my Del Sol in the background.

Blurred Lines was being played on the CD as I took this shot.

Just one thing though... Nothing's likely to fall off that tree is it? :? ...

They fall down all the time matey! Seriously, people get bloody killed by falling coconuts. I took it round the corner as the driveway is a little cramped to take some of those shots. I only stayed a few minutes and kept the engine running in case the thunder clouds and winds started up. If I'd felt the wind I'd have been out of there smartish and back into the safety of the drive!
Thanks for the comment.
BTW - the predictable rain has started, the sky is as black as pitch and the thunder, although distant at the moment, is on its way. All that bloody effort polishing my lovely Prelude this morning now spoilt. Arrgghhhhhh!
