Ok - we're back to 5 rep either way!

 Yeay!

The rep system should work, but many have used it wrongly. It was supposed to be there to rate the quality of information that members gave and for trading purposes. Although I always thought it would make more sense to have two different ratings for this. Otherwise members could make the mistake of thinking Julian is an oracle of information and anything he says can be taken as gospel, when actually he knows jack jobby about combustion engines, but also has no clue about the true value of things, but wraps things really well and works in the Post office.

The "Like" button should be the one to use for when someone cracks a pun or does something nice for another, but both the rep system and like system have been confused by most, so neither really count for anything anymore

Not to brag, but I noticed my Liked rating is quite high, yet my rep rating has pretty much seized to go anywhere ever since the Like button was introduced.

I don't like anybody what's the big deal?

;-) I rarely rep anyone anymore either as I don't really see the point anymore. As I said, it doesn't really count for anything. I know which members I can rely on, so that's all that matters to me. Newbies that don't know who to trust still don't acknowledge or know about the ratings anyway.
