EPS ecu/HSD coilovers

Post by newkid » Wed Jan 31, 2018 1:42 pm

Time to update this a bit.

Eps ecu was replaced and everything back to normal.

Exhaust had the mani gasket changed as was a single layer and blowing, fitted a proper oem triple layer, mani to downpipe was replaced as it had blown out (now need to order more as no spares left, wurlycorner you have them all ) and other joins been sealed again.

An today this arrived.

Hsd monopro coilovers. It’s the older zinc plated ones so got them at a really good price, new ones are coated black so less prone to rusting but I’ll be spraying this on them.

Acf-50. Good enough for planes and bikes good enough for coilovers.

Probably won’t fit them until the summer after the car has been under sealed.

Here's something you may not know, that's worth knowing...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isuzu_Aska

I know you're is a Torneo, so subtley different to an Accord Euro-R, but there looks to be a lot of identical body parts :)

They're probably like rocking horse pooh, but still worth noting that there could be aftermarket lips and various other parts available ;)

Nice pictures here :D , you are really Lucky having this car, it is really nice! :D

Do you have a link for the manifold to downpipe gasket? I didn't find anyone for my ATR and my gasket is also blown

I don't know about HSD , is it a good brand ? Is it the same stuff than Zenky or a much better coilovers ?

I don’t have a link for the gaskets as Ive been buying them through a contact by email. I have started another order for 3 as I don’t even have a spare left. I don’t mind selling you one tho when they arrive? 2 spares should be more than enough.

Don’t know much about the hsd’s but reviews seem to be good. Maybe rattymcclelland or nafemannathan know more as there more in the know how on suspension parts than myself.

Mate, check the mating faces aren't warped on the manifold to down pipe. Mine was all over the place

Tuning parts

Post by newkid » Sat Mar 17, 2018 10:57 am

Hopefully get the car in for tuning at some point this year. Still had the p28 that I never got round to using. Got a obd2b to obd1 conversion harness but some are saying the ebay ones are not very good so may look into changing it, what's people's views as surely some wiring and plugs can't be that much of a difference. An a rosko racing iacv adapter plate.

Car will be getting tuned on crome.

Oil change 153k

Post by newkid » Fri Apr 06, 2018 8:24 pm

Car was due an oil change but this time the oil cooler o ring was changed as was slightly leaking.

Next up is cam end seal and new rocker seal. Got the parts just need to get my torque wrench. Anyone happen to know the torque settings for the cam end cap and the rocker cover nuts?

Also got a typical Honda boot leak, the sealant between panels was all cracked so that's been replaced and a new oem boot seal. Problem is still there. Starting to look like it might be to do with rear window so that shall be fun.
