adam as for the jack thing, if you have two trolley jacks, slide one under the front of the car and jack it up slighty on the tow eye on the passanger side, just enough so that you can fit your other jack in and get it under the jacking point, do the reverse when your dropping the car back onto its wheels, simples

Another option with jacking the car up in the future (if it's a possibility) is driving the car up on to slabs that'll raise it just high enough to get the jack under.
