Red Vacuum Hoses

Post by Gayno » Tue Apr 24, 2012 3:07 pm

So I thought the engine bay could do with a bit of extra colour.

Ordered some red silicone hose and it arrived today. You will need 4mm and 5mm internal diameter if you are to do this yourself.

And ANOTHER knuckle bites the dust:

I also discovered that I really can't lower the car any more:

I'm sure there's a few more to get at, but rain and blood stopped play!

Is it as easy as pull of the old hose, cut new hose the correct length, slide new hose on?

Yep, pretty much!

Yep! and the kerb outside my house are quite low compared to most out there, so I'm really going to have to be careful when out and about!

I now have an inch underneath my lip on the Aerodeck when I reverse up my drive, so I know the feeling. Yesterday was the first time I took her out since I've lowered her alround and I was tensioning my ass everytime I went over one of those straddlable speedbumps :scaredtoss:

I could get over those no problem before, but not sure if 10mm drop will now make me scrape, and I'm not brave enough to try and find out!!

My lude no longer fits on my drive - I had to take the bumper off to get it to its current resting place and when it's all finished I'll have to take the bumper off again to get it onto the road again

It's the way forward 8-) Hoses are looking nice, I did some myself ages ago but never got around to changing as much as you have..!
