On the subject of seats these arrived today. Thinner padding for my race seat. The Cobra Evolution has the Pro Fit system where it allows the back, ass, and leg padding to be removed and replaced. The seat comes standard with the medium size padding.

Generally my seating position is good however due to the extremely low roof of the Prelude I can sometimes hit my helmet off the diagonal roof bar on the cage if I lean a little forward. I only need a few extra mm for the clearance and there is no adjustment left in my seat bracket or rails so the only option (and the easier option) was to get thinner ass and leg padding.

It will no doubt be less comfortable on the road though :(

Super Lap Scotland 2014 Round 4

Super Lap Scotland Round 4

Image

Today was on the reverse circuit and the 1st time I had driven it in the new car. It was quite possibly the worst conditions I have ever driven in. Qualification was particulary bad.

The morning practice sessions had rain and 20-30 meter visibility. In practice 2 I span out in front of traffic, which was fun

In Qualifying I was 5th in class despite the awful weather (see the vid).

In the final I started my lap but half way though span out going through the chicane. I went into the chicane with too much speed, trailed braked into the corner and the back end came round :x Game over, and it put me dead last

Even though I failed in the final I had a blast today. One of the commentators said that the Prelude was his favourite SLS car :jdm:

3rd Gen Steve got a few vids of how the car sounds, I put up my spins on the end of it.

That weather did look dyer man. At least it's all good experiences and they were clean spins and fast recoveries :)

I didnt leave the track :D

That was the first time I had heard it from outside of the car. I have had quite a few people come up to me in the last month and saying they like the sound of it on track.
