Yup, That switch is to slow the car down. The Switch will be labelled 5th gen and have a picture of your ugly mug in its place

Mid-Strip Weigh-In

Post by Dino » Fri Mar 16, 2012 6:52 pm

Small update and kind of progress measurement of some of the work done on the prelude.

When i first bought the car, she was a haven of lovelly leathery plushness.
Image

Before I started any work on her i got the old girl weighed with a Full Tank of Fuel
Image

And she came in at a not too shabby 1271Kg

She had already had the 4WS removed at that point, but came with alot of optinal extras.

As im a person who likes the minimalistic approach, i started to remove some weight out of the car.

As its been a while, I wanted to get a mid point weigh-in to give me an idea of what weight ive lost.

So I brimmed the car with 60L of fuel and went for the weigh-in:

1166kG RESULT!!!! 105Kg loss so far and ive got at least another 30KG to remove from the car.

I will have to have a play with the suspension settings so I can balance the car out a bit, but i'll do this once the ive fitted the Poly-bushes.

Happy days and chuffed to beans :D

Good work. Im not one for a stripped interior unless i use it only for fast driving. Thats a great weight though and with all that power its one quick car.

Nice figures bud. I spotted a weigh station right near my work a little while ago... Can't wait to get mine weighed. How much do they normally charge for such a service? I can't imagine it's too much.

Thats a nice weight loss. I would like to get my one down to 1100kg. It might be a bit extreme for you but the blower under the dash is meant to be 18kg, its on my list :D

Nah, I'm pretty sure it's no where near that heavy. Maybe 12kg?
