New paint

Post by Merlin » Fri Aug 17, 2012 2:04 pm

I got the car back from the bodyshop today as it needed a load of work done. Dents, miscoloured parts, stone chips, and a bit of rust under the rear arch liners. I put the car into ScotSpray in Musselburgh, just outside Edinburgh, and they had the car for a week. Now that this car is sorted I can get on with upgrading my 4G 8-)

I need to do a qick wheel refurb before Total Jap Car on Sunday as my wheels look jobby.

Off the top of my head all the bits done were:

Front bumper
Front lip
Bonnet
Side skirts
Wing mirrors
Drivers B pillar
Driver side dent
Both sides of the car
Removal of the rear arch liners, treat the small bit of rust there, pain, and seal
Rear bumper

Basically everything but the boot lid and the roof

Perfect colour match, which is far from easy on silver
