dyno dynamics are known as the heartbreaker dyno's
before my build I went on one and got 180hp, 5hp down on stock
so I think these dyno's read maybe different to other dyno's? or they are just jobby I dunno

if your car is stock and only reads 5hp down on the stock figure for a ten year old car then i would say thats fairly accurate everyone knows the ecu and or tune in the lude is the real limiting factorLude-dude wrote:dyno dynamics are known as the heartbreaker dyno's

Hot Hatch Reverse Circuit December 2013
A couple of things have been done to the car since the engine went in. When I went to get the wheel alignment done the guy told me he suspected my castor issue was due to a bent/failed passenger front ball joint. That is the corner where the radius rod failed last year, a couple of other bits were visibly bent which were all replaced. Realising it now the car did feel better before that incident happened but I didn't get many successful track days last year through driveshaft issues. Anyway... it was replaced and the car doesn't pull, or pull that much, anymore.
The major thing was that I buggered up my Hondata S300 by firstly not saving a backup copy of the map, and then accidentally hitting "Test Upload" which is right next to the button for what I was wanting to hit
. The Test Upload button uploads your current map but puts on a 2500 rpm limiter on each gear
I had to get in touch with Rich from Performance Autoworks as they were the ones who tuned it. Not only did he put all of my rpm limits back to normal he updated any of the features that have been added to the S300 since it was last tuned, compared the map & settings to the original one for Dino, and emailed it back to me
, he also told me how to set my ignition timing and how to calibrate the TPS.

It turned out that my ignition timing was bang on already. Rich said that I should recalibrate the TPS after doing this, and it has made a big difference to the idle. Before the idle was a bit bub-bub-bub-bub and I just put this down to the aggressive cams. But now it idles really nice. I assume the TPS is telling the IACV how much air should bypass the throttle body.
I have also set my launch control for 4000 rpm. Which is quite fun
08/12/13 - Knockhill Hot Hatch Reverse Circuit
Format - 10am-4pm 10 minute sessions that turned into an open pit session
Cost - £61
Conditions - Very wet & slippery

I wanted to get a quick track day in before winter comes to see if everything works good, and I was gagging to get out on track
It was tipping it down so it was RainSport 2 weather.
Despite the rain it was good chance to shake the car down and two problems arose. I have a small oil leak coming from the hose coming from my oil sandwich plate. I think it needs some tape in the tread. The other was that I simply couldn't see where I was going when it was bucketing it down with rain
. The heat of the engine at full chat and the heavy rain meant that I was fogging up badly. The rain was much lighter in the morning so I got a good 40 mins on track before I left at lunchtime.
When I was on track the car was very good. The speed in a straight line is nice but it is the way it goes round a corner is what has me hooked. The grip the Kaaz diff gives is awesome and the handling is back to what it should be with new balljoint. Plus the brakes with the 1" MC were really good. It was all about learning the car again so I was a bit untidy in the beginning but was getting there at the end.
My last vid of the day when it thrashed with rain.
