To remind you of what the fist size hole in the bottom of the drivers rear arch looked like, an old pic. It did get a bit bigger than this:

Yes! Isn't it just the best feeling seeing the fresh paint and rust gone for the first time. Can't wait to see the finished pics, with all the bodykit adorned. 8)

Back from the Bodyshop

Post by Merlin » Wed Jan 22, 2014 2:57 pm

I have the car back and I am pleased with the work that has been done. The arches are no longer rusty and the car looks a lot more respectable in comparison to what it was. Many of the cars that will be on track with me this season will have cost a lot more than my car. I couldn't turn up with a rust bucket

A few pics of how it is at the moment, I think the replica Value Sports Type 1 lip turned out good. I still needs to put on its new wheels but that wont happen until it comes back from the cage builders.

Click pics for bigger images.

The car certainly isn't show-piece but it was never meant to be, hence why the front bumper still has some battle scars on it. It will no doubt look a bit more rough by the end of the year :D I can say that the car is rust free!!
