The car is up in Aberdeen to get its cage installed. I did the three hour drive at the weekend, my ears did not like it
They guy who is building it is a welder/fabricator who previously ran a VW specialists in Aberdeen, hence his name "Dubdoctor", and has built many cages over the last decade. He is trying to do more automotive work so I am taking him on as a sponsor to try and get him known a bit more (in return for a nice discount of course

).
Me and 3rd Gen Steve stripped the car once we dropped it off:
This week he has been measuring up for the cage, getting the materials, and fabricating the foot plates for the cage. Fingers crossed the car will be finished in two weeks time.

The list of entrants is growing for SLS 2014 so I am waiting to see what my competition is going to be. At the moment the only other person to sign up for the class I'm in is an Impreza Classic, more will be added in the next month. See the Super Lap Scotland website for info about the series and the list of drivers:

I have a Innovative Competition traction bar and matching 85A (race) mounts on order and should be with me before the car comes back from Aberdeen.
I also forgot to put up a pic of these beasts (KSport 8 pot calipers with 32x330mm discs)
