Nice, so if I twist it round a bit it will still be securely held in?

Mine would have been yes. You'll know or not when you come to doing it ;-)

It's suggested when you remove it that heat is applied, but mine defintely didn't need any. It was easy enough to turn it (levering it around in the jaws of a pair of pliers), but then required a fair amount of pulling and twisting to remove it. So definitely not going to pop out during use.

My only thought though is although an interference fit, if you are unfortunate, when you turn it you could end up with a gap between the hole and the shaft (if the shaft isn't quite round and there was bonding involved), if that makes sense. Although I didn't notice any such adhesives when I pulled mine out.

There you go @honda-hardy, edit that fecker! ^^^

Thanks.

Just found this on Rosko Racing as well

Step 5: Relocating the brake booster fitting.

The brake booster fitting on this manifold points toward the front of the manifold out of the box. You can either turn it towards your brake booster and run a longer hose, or you can remove and plug it, then add a tapped hole to the rear of the manifold

Otherwise 5/16 (8mm) comes to mind.

It's suggested when you remove it that a firm grip on the end is applied, but mine defintely didn't need a firm grip. It was easy enough to turn it (levering it around with my jaw and a pair of tweezers), but then required a fair amount of pulling and twisting to remove it. as the rolled up end wrapped around my 70's style afro pubes, So definitely not going to pop out during use.

My only thought though is although an interference fit, it does not touch the sides if you are unfortunate like me, when you turn it you could end up with a gap between the hole and the shaft (if the shaft isn't quite round and there was bonding involved), if that makes sense. Although she didn't notice any such adhesives when I pulled mine out.
