You wont get any water on the filter if you make sure the Cold Air Feed is close to the filter but not pointing to it. there's not many routes to the filter... but you got 3 options... from under the car, fog light.. but that means losing the fog, or in the side bumper.. that's your options A1ex ;)

There is another option if your car was a track car... i'm gonna do it at some point.. make the driver side head light as a massive... yes massive air intake.. !! of course only on dry days tho!!

There is a direct route for the CAI. Once the resonator is removed there should be enough room to get a pipe round the front corner of the car and then you are directly into the wing.

I know on a 4th gen the bumper bar fixing gussets interfere a bit down there, so it proves to be difficult with ducting from the fog light area around to where the resonator was. Is the bumper bar not an issue on the 5th as well?

I have full intentions to try this as well, hence my currented wanted thread, which I'm just about to bump again

I think you would be able to route it under the bumper bar.

Yeah under it, but the 4th gen's bumper bar has gussets on it that attach it to the fixing plates. They go down below the bumper bar, so make routing a 3" diameter flexible ducting difficult. I think when I tried it though I wasn't using the foglight holes, which may have been in a better position. (I was just routing it to the lower openings in the bumper). Anyway, that's a 4th gen ;-)

The 5G bumper is much more simple in the way it attaches to the car. Granted you might find it a struggle to get 3" pipe comfortably through there. I wish I had taken more photo's when my bumper was off the car last week :(
