I always thought it was a JDM thing? Do UK 4ths have the sensor?

This is what Lings says, which matches what I have seen on the engines I have had.

Oil pressure sensor?

H22a 4th gen - yes
H22a2 - yes
H22a5 - no
H22a7 - yes
H22a8 - no
H22a Type-S - no

aaah interesting, i was stripping my H22A7 the other day and noticed a large diameter bolt missing from the vtec solenoid, guess the cheeky fecker whipped it off before sending the engine out to me grrr.

According to Lings, the a7 in an ATR does have one, but the a7 in a Type-S Prelude doesn't, so a little contradictory and both are OBD2.

If we just look at Prelude H22's then, OBD1 is yes and OBD2 is no.

Prelude Type-S (Item 18)

Accord Type-R (Item 17)

Turns out my engine in the racecar is a H22A from a JDM

I'm fitting the Accord Type -r top end and inlet

so the solenoid from my H22a should be ok?

Either will be fine... It's just whether you need the oil pressure switch or not
