Yeah and the car still looks like a piece of crap  , I just need to get an LSD to finish the job. For a 5th gen you'd need a P28 (or similar) ECU with something like a Hondata S300 installed, plus an OBDII -> OBDI converter cable. Or an OBDII AEM stand alone ECU but they are mighty expensive.

If i can avoid standalone, i will. Ive been there and its a fecking headache! Ive got to check my box to see if it is LSD or not, of it isnt il get a quaffe LSD for it. Tyres and suspension wise - Running D2 36 way adjustables at the end of this month and currently running toyo T1R's. Drilled and grooved discs all around and i had green stuffed pads. But they died, and just bought some OEM ones.

In what way?

Completely off the top of my head, I must have spent about 8k at least on my car over the years, granted a lot of that was last year and labour will always be a big expense, and obviously that's suspension etc too.

Well i had an OMEX standalone AND an adaptronic in the space of 1 year.

Both never worked correctly in my car ever. Had them mapped, and wiring checked by 3 companys and still no joy!

Problem was it went on a renault as well... in which I had to do all the base wiring for it to get it to a guy to finish (i drokked the standard ECU) And i dont know any auto electrical guys either, and to get one round costs you a small fortune.

When it comes to Hondas
Standalone ecu> piggy back.

Piggy backs are more expensive and more restrictive. Standalone rewrite everything and are cheaper.

The jobby hit the fan with ATTS and all I can use is piggywank.

My engine build cost me about 3k with most parts at that got me 228bhp. The only bottom end work i had done was piston rings and bearings.

Another for the list is a new oil pump and a good pressure gauge. Dont wana burn a 10k motor for the sake of a 300 pump. You'd also want a crank balance delete kit installed to get the oil pressure up a bit more.

IMO, youre better off going with OEM 11:1 pistons. Get them dished with some nice JUN cams and you'll be looking circa 270bhp N/A for probabky 5-6k all in. The last few horses for 300+bhp will cost you a fortune
