My immediate thought was to raise the front wheels and run the car to determine if it's the LSD. With the LSD and the wheels raised, I believe the wheels should turn when out of gear. Carefully apply resistance to one wheel at a time to stop it turning and see if you hear the noise or feel any vibrations out of the ordinary.
You say the speed of the noise doesn't increase or decrease the faster or slower you go right? That would suggest it isn't brake related.
But does the noise increase or decrease relative to the revs or load on the engine? As that would obviously suggest it's gearbox or clutch related.

No, it doesn't increase or decrease relative to the engine revs..but perhaps in accordance to engine load. It engages under engine breaking at low revs (I guess between 3500 rpm & 2000 rpm).

Quite conceivably Newkid! What I was thinking was; I assume there is a LSD assy between two driveshafts - one connected the gearbox end, and one connected the wheel end. And I believe if this is the case, then it's this assy connecting the driveshafts that has a fault. Does that make sense/sound feasible?

Yes, getting the wheels off the ground would seem to be the logical place to start. I assume both wheels need to be off the ground at the same time do they? You can't check one at a time for example?

proba can check with one wheel off as its lsd - think it allows this - not 100percent sure though- best to get both wheels off ground. sure theres are write up and vid somewhere - will try to find it.

The whole point of an LSD is that it will send drive to both wheels relative to the load on each. With both front wheels being in the air, even with the car being out of gear the wheels will want to rotate (in opposite directions). When you carefully put resistance on one wheel to bring it to a stop the other one will speed up. If one front wheel remains on the ground the raised wheel will naturally be spinning at that faster speed to start with, proving a lot more difficult to stop.
And heaven forbid you put it in gear with one wheel down as the car will be off!!!
Where as, with both wheels in the air you can still go up through the gears to test the car (Although make sure the car is well supported with the handbrake on and back wheels chocked and no sudden gear changes
)
And heaven forbid you put it in gear with one wheel down as the car will be off!!!

Sooo,
Drove down to collect the front bumper yesterday I ordered from NafemanNathan, and he was able to find & fix the issue with my car.
Turned out to be one of the battery cables touching the fan!
Ridiculous, but quite pleased because no expensive bills or having to write-off the car.
So he secured the cable for me, sorted me out the bumper, & sent me on my way.
Lude is working fine now. Except for the knocking sound when I steer at low speeds. But perhaps that's a story for another day..
Thanks for all your thoughts peeps, and cheers Nathan for fixing it for me.
Safe.
