The spoon chip may work ok with it after seeing someone's results last week using it mind.

A quote from Frank at "PocketRocketRacing" (H series specialist)

"The type S cams will hit the valve seal/guide in a standard h22 head! Type S cams do not install without issue's in a standard h22 head, and I do not care if someone else has done it "without issue's" Honda DOES NOT do it! the factory type S head has relocated valve guides to make room for the type S cams. The S springs are stiffer as well, the retainers are identical though!"

From memory, pocketrocketsracing were a bunch of clownshoes weren't they? Constant threads about them being scammers on Honda-Tech.com? Hard to tell now, as the site appears to be gone.

I do know the valve angles on an H22a7 head are different to a standard H22, but I believed this was more for breathing as aposed to for clearance. As far as I know ATR/TypeS cams do drop straight in, but obviously it's advised to upgrade the springs and retainers to suit as well.

i have atr cams which are the same as type s one, no clearance issues, some say running them can do damage to the head, i think it was below the valve springs or the LMA's.

ATR's use sprung LMAs though, not sure about Type s's?
