I've got a set of front 3rd gen calipers in the shed. I'll try and compare them to the red 4th gen's. I imagine some mods will be required, but I'm sure there must be threads on it from the US somewhere.

I'll be interested to know what the difference is mate. Let me know on that. Hopefully not too much, cos ultimately I'll need an uprated setup once the future 'side project' engine goes in.

Again the brakes are on my todo list. I found a link mentioning that prelude and civic calipers swapped over I think the caliper carrier has 200mm centres. The civics also have 4x100 discs they fit mg zr discs to fit the studs and fill the calipers. Again I am yet to install this so I can not be 100%. Providing you buy mounts and find drive shafts to fit the wiring is going to be the hardest part. Is your lude a facelift model? As the spline count is different.

Just a thought, but I wonder if calipers from larger Honda's of the era may work. The Legend was knocking around at the same time, I've seen a late 80's Legend saloon in the metal and they're big beasts. Depending on the fitment it may be an avenue worth exploring? :)
