Evening fellas and ladies,
I've finally finished exams and just got the cylinder head back from the machine shop. Nothing was wrong with it but they have given it a de-coke and minimal skim. Now is the time if any, to port and polish the head (and any other parts mating to it). So is it really worth the man hours, patience and swearing that it is sure to bring? Also, any tips on how to go about it? I don't plan on any engine upgrades power wise.
Cheers.
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

In all honesty mate, if you're not upgrading anything else it's probably not worth the effort. And, if you do it wrong you could end up loosing power.
If you really want to have a dabble though, just get rid of any casting marks. That'll still be of benefit
A Dremel is your friend/a must

Thanks guys for the quick replies. I didn't think that much would be gained in my case, what with no major upgrades and such. Even so, I might give it a quick clean up like you say Nafe, I've got the Dremel and bits on hand. Nothing serious though.
I'm hoping to get the car back on the road by the end of this month, so I'll be showing my progress soon!
