Reason why engine wont start on 3rd gen?

Definitely sounds like the main relay is having a laugh every so often. It's up above the pedals (same location as the 4G one). On a 4G, it looks like this:

i had the same problem Mr rat sir.
when i went to buy mine it wouldn't start but then eventually did. it has not caused me any issue since but i looked for the issue on the web and found this.

The current winning bidder emailed me ages ago and i know his budget and its much higher so we will see.

Just like others have said, that is classic main relay behaviour. Its not so much the temp of the engine but the interior temp especially in the footwells.
